I spent most of 2008 asking all you experts questions about various guns I bought at estate auctions. Got to where I thought I knew enough and haven t asked anything in a long time. Need some knowledge. I picked up four old guns at an estate sale. One is an German lever action single shot rifle. Very heavy, fully engraved, with what would seem to be a family crest in brass on each side of receiver. It has oct. barrel and very fancy wood with extra large cheek and the top is marked H. Marchner-Regensberg. Don`t know caliber but small bore. Does anyone know anything about this gunsmith or any info on the age of the gun? Any type of info would be appreciated.
