Hi Folks,
I have an RBL-12 and would like to have the checkering re-cut. Can anyone recommend a good smith in New England who would perform this work?

While not in New England he is quite close - Dan May at Classic Gunstocks in Cato, NY (near Oswego/Syracuse). He has a web site.
He has done quite a bit of stock work for me - from complete new stocks to recutting the miserably fine checkering on Beretta O/U's. His work is as good as anyone I have ever used over the last 40 years - and I've used just about everyone!
He is an honest guy with respect to 1. giving you accurate cost estimates, and 2. delivery dates. He is busy but his work is well worth the wait in my opinion.
