I think Tony's first price list offered the CE 20 gauge for $5650.00.

The going price for a high condition original is roughly 50% of your figure but maybe that is not relevant to all buyers.

Sounds like you are pretty proud of it, you had best keep it!

you may want to give CSMC a call and see what they would give for trade in toward one of their used English guns. Jaqua has an unfired example, albeit a later one, for 11250.00 and it isn't moving either. http://www.jaquas.com/gunlist/Details.asp?StockNumber=116440&Category=&Caliber=H&H

All I know is Lou at CAMC saw the gun a couple of years ago at the Southern side by side and told me the gun should bring that because of the engraver. Being that this is the second CE made by them and I know they made up a complete set to take to the Shot Show in 93. I would only guess that they kept all the first ones themselves. So this should be the first one they sold to an individual. Todays prices will not touch this one. The level of quality that this one has surpasses some I have seen myself. Prices for new ones just keep going up every year.If I do not sell it I will just keep it.

Wish I knew where those are!! H&H

Just put it up for sale at your desired price and see if it sells. Anything besides this is just opinion. If we all had the ability to predict the future, we'd be running the world.

The most important issue is, will you wish you still had the gun in a couple of years?

Since you asked for opinions....keep your Fox. I doubt you will ever sell it at the price you mentioned earlier. The gun at Jaquas is extremely nice...all the bells and whistles (upgraded exhibition wood, heel and toe clips, long barrels, best leather case with all accesories, etc) and they are asking what I think is a very reasonable price for it, and it hasnt moved.
