I know the basic premis for "Funeral" guns, but how is the black finish obtained or is it just dark blue? Also, how much engraving is allowe? I have a Charlin that was originally all blue but is now two tone. It has minimal engraving and I would like to make a "Funeral' gun. How do I go about it? Should there be any gold on it, and does the engraving which is banknote but limited in scope, be retained. Is the black finish a paint, a coatingo of some kind i.e. black chrome? Should the wood be extraordinary ( I have a blank in mind) or minimal. If you guys dont have a good idea here I dont know who does. thanks in advance for your imput.
