I looked at a nice Ithaca 4E, 20 guage yesterday that appeared to be all original. The barrels appeared to be re-blacked, not the hard orginal shine but the dull black. Barrel Tubes only stamped as Krupp Steel, no Ithaca ID. Are these original barrels or replacements?

The barrels would have been rust blued not shinny and not dull. Kinda an egg shell look. Look for Ithaca marks on the water table of the barrels. Tops of barrels were not marked with Ithaca on high grades guns. Can you post a photo of the gun and barrels, serial number?? e.g. Flues, NID or what.

Barrels and gun should be are Pre NID and the "dull" could mean a cold blue touch-up.

I have a Ithaca Crass which I think is a #2 grade serial number is 23891 very pretty damascus barrel, wood is excellent, sun burst pad, 30 in barrels seem to be m/m choke. Beautiful gun but when looking down barrel seems to have a slight bend at end of barrell, don't know if its the rib or the barrel, can this be corrected and will it affect shooting very much. It might be a silly question but since it seems very slight on bend I really wonder how much it will affect my shooting. At the very least I can use it as an excuse when I miss. Input would be appreciated. I posted it here since this post seems to be about Ithaca barrels. Thanks

Hi My Grade 4 flues has Krupp barrels. If you give Walt the info he requested you will most likely get an accurate answer.
