Larry, those 2 guns you mentioned were not Czar's Lebeau, just another pair and the story was fake  I can send you the ser. #'s of Czar' Lebeau's and btw barrel steel on Czar guns were Whitworth.

I bought an identical French gun second hand about 20 years ago for $225 at a local shop. The only difference was that it didn't have the gold inlaid "Martin" on the top lever. It did have a gold inlaid "S" for safety. This was a very well built/fitted gun, even the internals were well fitted and polished. When I first saw the picture I thought it was the gun I had and sold about 10 years ago.
