Found the 2007 thread about Purdey Finish, or Slacum.

Had a nice hour long period of entertainment, starting with Salopian's first post.

I was really worried about the outcome of the many pages of posts intertwined with visits to pubs and mongers shops, but Salopian finally came through.

Thanks Gents for a good thread! Now I know what Venice Turpentine is!
