Hi all,

I'm a newbie here - registered just yesterday as I browsed through the net to find out pages/forums that could be useful on this subject.

So, I wonder, what might be the best way to search guns that have originally been a pair (or even a set of three), but which have been parted from each other in the course of time for some reason or another.

I'm familiar with 'lost pairs' thread in the IGC Bulletin Board. I've already sent my announcement there, but are there any other ways? (Doesn't necessarily have to be based on the Internet.)

Surely I can put it here as well: What I'm lookinf for is the #1 gun of a pair of Frederic T. Baker 12ga side lever shotguns. The serial number of the #2 gun is 5072. As far as I know, the pair has been manufactured in 1883 (MDCCCLXXXIII on the trigger guard). All information on the No. 1 gun would be, of course, very much appreciated.

Regards,
Saku

Saku,
You might also try this website which has a section for putting old pairs back together.

Thanks Yeti.

I'll check that out - sounds promising.
