I just finished wrapping of last presents and got them under the tree. I wonder if there's anything as exhausting mentally as searching everywhere for presents to buy for those who have everything. Imagination, love and generosity gets you nowhere trying to find a gift that is surprising, thoughtful and needed. For the future, I think I'll take a page from my sister who bought a goat to give to a family in Somalia in my name. For my birthday, a well to provide good water to 1,500 African villagers. I can't see the clutter here of anything in Christ's name. Merry Christmas to all of you.

For the past three years, for the hard to buy for, older family member, we have bought in their names goats, chickens and ducks. Lets face it many of us have more toys than we ever need or use. More unopened shirts or unused gloves. We get more from giving than getting and the gift of this type always gets a smile. Have not bought a well yet and will have to put it on our list to buy.
Hope they name the goat after you in honor of the gift and not because of any resemblance. Hate it when they call me an old goat.

Merry CHRISTmas All I indeed am blessed My Daughter, Amy, has been missionary in Mexico for 10 years. http://www.casasporcristo.organd felt that even missionaries needed to go on mission trips. So she and a couple of frinds went on a mission trip to install those water filters for the natives, What a joy to her and me  Amarillo, Texas, Christmas Morning
