Somebody, I think it was on this board, mentioned this product and spoke very highly of it.
I ordered some and I have found it to be as good, if not better than he described it.
I felt that I should tell everyone about it.

Pete, I agree. You should tell us about it. What was so good about it? Did it lubricate better, remove rust better, or prevent rust better, or penetrate frozen parts better? You made me curious. Thanks, keith

CorrosionX has very good antirust properties and is equally effective as a penetrant.
IMHO, it is one of the best gun oils.

Well, I didn't want to sound like a pitch man for "CorrosionX" but yes it does seem to lubricate better, and the oil seems to stay in place better. It removed small dark staines that had been on the metal where A spot of rust had been. The best thing is, it seems to repel the dirt and fouling that comes from shooting, after I shoot a hundred rounds through the gun it looks like it hasen't been used.
I ordered a small bottle of it two weeks ago to try it. and I just ordered some more.

http://www.6mmbr.com/corrosiontest.html shows tests with a few products including Corrosion-X, Break Free, Eezox, plus a few others. The 11-week test at the end of the page shows Eezox and Break Free CLP (old and new) looking OK, although Corrosion-X is not shown in that one. Corrsion-X is among the best in the tests that included it.

Thank you, I'm always willing to try something better but it's nice to hear some positive things from users without a vested interest. I've tried some supposedly wonderful and expensive penetrants that were no better than kerosene. The last one was Strong Arm at $12.00 a can. I'm still hoping to see the auto parts swap meet vendor who sold this crap to me with a money back guarantee. But in all fairness, it's not as bad as the anti-fog compound I put on my windshield that caused heavy frost to form and grow back as fast as I scraped it... in above freezing temps! That product was very difficult to remove, made me late for work a few times, and I never found the seller to get my money back. He had told me it would prevent frost from forming, and in the unlikely event it did, it would fall off in sheets when the scraper touched it. Oh yeah.

I think I'd have to agree jOe. However, I've seen a number of these tests down through the years, always with a fairly small number of lubricants. Some have shown RIG to be the best, others give the nod to Boeshield. It would be great if some gunwriter did a really comprehensive test of everything out there with ratings for short term and long term corrosion protection, and lubricity.
