Gaier's work never focuses on a single gun. I own many of his books about firearms. He is a historian, who has written academic tomes about Liege. His academic work focuses on medieval armor and arms. He was the official historian for FN and director of the arms museum in Liege.
This book is an update of "FN-Browning: 100 Ans D'armes De Chasse Et De Guerre", which he also co-authored with Francotte in 1989. It was done for FN's 100th anniversary.
I hope that this time, they hired a better translator, as many of Gaier's earlier works suffer from bad translations.
If you are interested in the history of FN, then this would be a good book.
