trying to id this gun also any value to it?
barrels say lefever nitro special serial # 297885 s...r...d
on side plate it has pics of ducks
on watertable it has 12...164882 it is missing wood forearm tx in advance

The receiver is an Ithaca made Lefever Nitro Special made about 1923, the brls are from another gun made about 1930. These were solid utility grade 'shooters' and most have indeed been 'shootered' alot. Little collectible value in the 12s, esp. as you describe.

$25-50 as a parts gun, if the barrels are still usable and there are parts in the reciever that are usable.
