My friend has a Sauer and Sons side by side made in Suhl. The removable guide for the firing pins has broken. Not sure what the part is called. It surrounds the firing pin as it it exits the rear of the breech. It screws in to the reciever. All I can tell about the gun is that is a old side lock. It also has the following the stamped on the barrel "Selest Spanner system J.P. Sauer and Sons. I don't have the gun in my possession to post pics. Where can I obtain a replacement? What is part called.
Thanks,
I think I found what it is called- Firing pin bushing.
It also has internal hammers.

Forgot to mention that the Serial number is H61xxx. This may help with date of production. There was one other mark on the breech of the barrels, Fried Krupa, Essen

Victor,

It does sound like you're talking about the bushing.

Try http://www.e-gunparts.com, Brownells and posting a want add on the appropriate board here.

Worst case, you have the other bushing and can have a machinist make a duplicate from it.

Good luck.

Unless someone just happened to "part out" one of those exact model Sauers you are askng about, NOBODY will have spart parts laying around in a parts bin. Mark at MBAB can quite likely make the part, as can most any machinist, gunsmith, but there will likely simply be no parts found. If by some freak chance you do find the part, it will indeed be the find of the century. Having said that, it is very simple to make them. I have done so on my lathe, and any qualified machinist can do so. NO, I have no time to take your job, sorry.
