AMtrico, if you are having difficulty posting pictures, you can email them to me and I will post them for you. Email address is in my profile. I have a French three barrel 16 ga with three triggers. Lots of fun to shoot.

Very nice indeed, J.C.

AMtrico: is it a hammerless or hammergun?

Model 8 - underlever(Roux) with doll's-head extension without automatic sight and without cartridge trap

Model 9 - same as Model 8 but with auto flip-up sight with cartridge trap in the stock(top/bottom/butt??) and better engraving

Model 10 - with "Scott" toplever, Greener crossbolt & plain finish

Model 11 - Model 10 with auto sight & cartridge trap and finer finish

Model 12 - underlever(Roux) sort of like a round action with Greener safety and non-auto sight, doll's-head extension

Model 13 - same as Model 12 but with auto sight, cartridge trap, engraving and the like

Model 14 - Blitz with sideclips, auto sight, Green crossbolt & Greener safety

Model 15 - same as Model 14 but with horn triggerbow, cartridge trap and deluxe engraving

Model 16 - A&D system, auto sight, Greener safety, Greener Crossbolt

Model 17 - same was Model 16 with extra ball extractor, horn triggerbow, cartridge trap and deluxe engraving

Model 18 - A&D with H&H ejectors(I've seen about 1/2 dozen drillings with ejectors and sometimes not on all tubes(rifle), top of the line

Kind Regards,

Here's two photo's of the 3 barrel shotgun, if I followed the directions correctly in loading the pic, all should be fine.

I should have also added a few more things with the pictures: first, the 3 pins on the back of the receiver, veiwed from the top are cocking indicators, they retract once the barrel is fired. The front trigger fires the right barrel, the back trigger fires the left barrel and then the front trigger pulled again fires the bottom barrel. The barrels are 26 3/4" choked, cyclinder, skeet and full. The gun weighs 6lbs 9oz and is very well balanced & lively.

Can anyone tell me when they think it might have been made? I haven't been able to find any dates on the gun.

Thanks for all the info so far.

It looks to be a Treff action with the strikers in a metal block with coil springs. Pics of the proofmarks on the flats will help narrow the date. Interesting, very interesting scattergun.

Raimey,
It's not easily visible in the pic, but the proof marks include the letters "U, F, W, S" all individually and all with crowns above them. Each barrel has the marking: "2,59 Sch.P" on top of "28,3 g Bl.". Also, on each of the two top barrels in a semi-circle back by the breech is marked: "KRUPP'S CHER - FLU SS STAHL" it's kind of hard to make out all of the letters, but I'm pretty sure that's what it says. Can you tell anything additional about the date of manufacture or anything else about the gun from that info? Thanks.

Austin:

Is it a "F" or an intertwined "CF"? From the pic one looks to be a "T" next to the serial number, but I guess it's just blurry. With the stamps of the load data, it would be a pre-1912. Is there a "Crown" over "N" or "Crown" over "F" ahead of the load data?

Kind Regards,

Raimey
