Can anyone give me information on a ithaca double serial number I believe is 389116. It does not have exposed hammers. I am trying to get some picture but do not have any at this time. I was wondering if the serial number would give me a clue as to date of manufacture and possible model

Thanks

That'd be a late Flues, 1924, shortly before Ithaca switched to the NID.

I recently picked up a Flues, made in 1912, a very lightweight 20 gauge.

Does anyone have a parts diagram for this model or know where I could find one? What kind of value do they have if they are in good condition?

Thanks

Attached is a picture of the gun with the part I am looking for circled in red. This is not the actual gun. I do not have the gun with me and found this picture on line. I am looking for this part and an exploded view diagram of the the gun with a parts list.

You've circled one end of the extractor. The other end is protruding from the breech end of the barrels. There should be a small screw that fits into a notch on the extractor rod which allows the extractor to move in and out but prevents it from coming out.

Try Numrich (www.e-gunparts.com), e-Bay and even googling Flues extractor.

P.S. I'm assuming it is an extractor. If the breech end is split it is an ejector (which is more complicated and probably more difficult to find).

Good luck,
Phil

The rod is "H" shape with a spring that fits inside of it. It is split on both ends

I think that the part that you circled is part of the cooking hook. The bad news is that this is the weakest link of the Flues model and the part that breaks the easiest. They are almost almost impossible to find. The good news is that a fellow who goes by gungarage on ebay has had a number of them remanufactured and has some for sale at $49 each plus shipping. If you can't find his listing under Ithaca send me an email at: ithacarick@aol.com and I will see if I can locate his addy in my old emails.
