Update, just returned from the trip. The Triebel is in great shape, bores are clean, blueing beautiful, forearm tight, opening is tight, just a beauty. It does have ejectors, I think it was a70mm chamber,28" barrels, did not get the chokes.

The seller had a 1922 production merkel sideplated boxlock with incredible engraving, 26" barrels, the gun looked great except for the pitted bore just after the chambers, more on the right than the left barrel, some of the pitting was wide 1/4 in accross. Hard to tell how deep or if it is repairable. The owner said it had been that way for a long time and he has no issue shooting it. The owner was an older gentleman with a large shotgun collection that had mostly been sold. He wanted to sell both the merkel and the triebel together. The purchase price was $6000 for both, He was negotiable.

My father in law and father are still there, so what does everyone think.
