You might want to wander over to Hallowell's and check under new arrivals. A lovely G&H 22-3000 fully engraved by J. Fugger.

Yeah, that one. I know Fugger was going into the 1960's but would anybody know when he started and ended?

Tim, I know he was working at A&F in the 70's as I saw him working there training Winston Churchill.

Anyway to get this into a SEP IRA?

Saw that rifle a few years ago at the winter Vegas show, think Terry Buffum owned it. Then at the next show (not sure of sequence) Monte Mandarino had it. My recollection, for what it's worth, is that it had a Lyman 103 on it, not the current 52A. And somewhere along the line the price was 9,000. It is quite splendid. Interesting that it is a varmint calibre but not set up for scope sight.

And I've seen MUCH better scenes done by other engravers, some on this forum! I'm very surprised to be so severely underwhelmed by this particular example of Fugger's work, I've seen far, far better work by him and others. I realize that he's an icon in the firearms engraving world but IMO this particular work isn't worthy of his reputation.
I hope it's just the photos. Regards, Joe

Johnson highwall .225 stocked in walnut by Hal Hartley that has a 1 1/4" Unertl with the same rear sight. I always kind of wondered about it.
