Came across a parker brothers, back action lock, 12 gauge the other day missing both hammers and a trigger gaurd was unable to study it closely but looked like a base model with not engraving and only a minimum checkering no model number was evident... and I didnt want to seem to interested front comb and rear stock are not in bad shape 75% and bores look to be decent.... so I came to ask If it would be worth the time for restoration on an older base model parker, and see if the availabilty of parts such as hammers and triggergaurds were ever out there, or will that aslo have to be fabricated.... Thanks A.J.

You'd have to have the parts made, they aren't out there for the most part.

That gun is probably missing its hammers because it was cannibalized to put another Parker back into service. If you don't have access to a pair of hammers, pass on the gun (unless you can use the barrels for another project).

A.J. : It all depends on the price. If it's cheap enough it might be well worth restoring. Did you get the serial number? That could meen a lot.

Just My Humble Opinion......George

Well I price really isnt the problem, it will be for 100 to 150 dollars for the gun, I will post some pictures when I pick it up, I can fabricate the hammers and trigger gaurd if need be, but I will need to look at an original for the layout and sizing.... I think Ill pick up the gun and get some pictures posted and we will determine the next step...
