Hello, today I purchased an Ithaca NID 4E double which is in very poor condition. I was wondering who you gentlemen would recommend to restore this gun? I also wondered if Walt would be able to check on the original order specs for this gun, as I suspect the barrels may be cut? Thanks Stan

If the gun is restorable, I'd vote for Gunter Pfrommer in Virgina. He's done several NID's for me at reasonable costs and quick turnarounds. He can re reached at 540-484-5555.

Stanley: I don't know where you are located but I would recommend Jim Kelly at The Darlington Gun Works in Darlington, South Carolina. He does all of my repair & restoration work. You can reach him at (843) 393-3931. In my 50+ years of gun collecting he is the best that I have found.

I second Bill's recomendation. Gunter knows NIDs and does all my work. PM me its serial number.

Walt is dead on, Gunter is tops in Ithaca guns. Jim Kelly is also tops but doesn't specialize in Ithaca guns.

I'm in the south east corner. Stevens, PA. You're not coming to any gunshows up this way in the near future are you? I think I may have met you, Walt about 5-7 years ago at gun show in York, Pa
