Looked at an absolutely mint Franchi Astore S SxS 12g boxlock, SST Ejector gun 28 inch tubes in origional case 30 or more years old, may have been fired only a handfull of times, What do we know about this gun and some estimate of what one might have to pay for something like this

Any advice would be much appreciated

Can't find anything on an Astore S. Maybe an Astore 5? Seems to fit your description. They don't show up very often on the used market. Couple references indicate somewhere in the $2,000 range, 98% condition. I think the Astore S was Italian-made, although the lower grade Astores were made in Spain. If it's Italian, you should be able to find a date code--either Roman numeral or two letters--by which you can determine the gun's age.

Definitely Italian Roman Numerals but I did not write them down, will check next time I look at it. This is a high grade box lock fully engraved.
