On Saturday, March 21, 2009 the Society for the Preservation of Frederick Williams Shotguns had a meet and shoot at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays in Coplay, Pennsylvania. In the context of an informal competition first place honors went to David Messicks with second place going to John Kuhn Bleimaier. There was a special class for Frederick Williams fanciers who were shooting other fine doubles. First place in the classe etranger went to Jent Mitchell shooting a Parker, with second place won by Michael Parlato shooting an L.C. Smith. There was a lively discussion of the respective merits of English and American side-by-sides, boxlocks and sidelocks.

Respectfully submitted,

J.K. Bleimaier, keeper of the seal & mace bearer

How many guys showed up with Williams shotguns?

Did you see any sidelocks?

I'm genuinely curious.

And do you really have a seal and a mace? (Ok, I'm kind of kidding with this question.)

Thanks

OWD

OWD, I didn't make it over with my sidelock so I'm not certain about those who did. Maybe next year. If it isn't during March or April...
