so its safe to say that rst shells are probably the way to go? i would like to order some as soon as i get this new to me lefever h grade approved by a gunsmith.

btw do any of you know of a gunsmith with knowledge of damascus/twist barrels in the new england area. im in vermont and would like to have this gun shipped within a week or two to have it checked and approved for firing.

stallones, you said you shoot damascus and twist guns. do you shoot the rst loads through them and if you dont mind me asking what loads do you shoot? if not how do i go about getting some of the euro loads you mentioned?

thanks.

[quote=revdocdrew]Keep in mind that there is NO formula to convert BAR expressed as LUP (European/British CIP) to PSI (US SAAMI). Actual pressure testing by Armbrust, at least with 16g loads, has shown the European (CIP) loads to run pressures higher than they calculate.
The B&P 16g F2 Classic is factory listed at 9,867 psi but testing by Tom Armbrust showed it to be 10,500. Gamebore Traditional Game 16g 28gm (1 oz.) is reported to run 8122 psi but testing showed it to be 8400 psi.

Drew, that 600+ psi difference is probably worth worrying about. The 300- on the Traditional Game . . . probably not. Unless you use only once-fired hulls and are pretty careful in your reloading, you're quite likely to get that much spread in your reloads.
