Sorry I have not included photos but I have a very nicely engraved side by side with "Silvachrome" on the barrels. The barrels also have a circle with the "Silvachrome" stamping and Eibar underneath.

The gun has a scalloped reciever and cocking indicators. It seems to be high quality shotgun. I am not sure who the manufacturer is. It had been suggested once that Sarasqueta may have made it. However, I have guns that are stamped Sarasqueta.
Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Victor, these guns were imported to the UK, most of the times in the rough then finished by various makers in the UK. They were then sold thru various dealers. Look on the bbl flats and you can find the makers mark and date code. Here's a link to them:

As to quality, Spanish guns from this period run the gambit from best to dogs. Sometimes the gun looked great on the outside, but the insides were another story....to long to go into here.

Anyway, good luck!!

All the best!

Greg

Thanks gjw.
It appears that either Hijos De f. Arizaga made it (found EX on barrel flats and reciever) or zabala hermanos (found zh on both barrel flats. My guess is the first since the EX appears on both.
thanks again for your insight.

"Sons of F Arizaga" or "Zabala Brothers" My last big boat, which I left in Mexico, was named "Hijo De La Playa" I sold a 10 bore Zabala last week, good gun actually, but HEAVY!
