I called last week and left a message about a specific gun. In the message I clearly stated "I want to buy this gun." They never called me back. Business must be too good.

Boy, that "ignore this user" feature is pretty slick!

Anyway, it was the 30" damascus Chas. Smith, Newark-on-Trent ejector hammergun. It appears to be a solid bottom Scott bar action with rather fine bouquet and scroll. We'll see how it looks when it gets here. Hammer game guns with kickers are very rare and I've been looking for one for some time. It may even warrant new wood and Teague lining if it's a keeper.

I had picked out about four that I thought were your possibilities. The Smith was one of them. The European configured Purdey Pigeon gun was a possibility regardless of its rather late manufacture, but, my gosh, it's choked like a real man's skeet gun. Obviously, some of these guns have been relieved a bit to be more suitable as game guns. Of course, some Purdey game guns for the US trade were made on pigeon gun actions to get the heavy proof. Apparently, Purdey was not fond of sending their game guns for 1 1/4 ounce proof. I still like that gun for its heavy proof and condition.

To answer your question stud here's the skinny. I live in Texas. I dont get paid for advertising as I'm sure people who have stores can do it themselves.
What makes me a professional? Simple. Six years of pro fights and a championship belt for the troubles. Of course being a success at that gave me a bit more coin to buy guns which is my hobby.
I'm always interested in how people come up with what they feel is a good price for guns since the majority of self proclaimed experts cant afford to do so.
