Bill, I have a nice BLE by G. Wilcke of that same place. I assume we are talking about the same maker/or seller.

Daryl, I'm not sure of the exact spelling and the gun is at the Gunsmith. High quality gun with fine scoll engraving but with extensive heavy rust on locks, a shooter now. bought it because it was an 8. Thanks Bill

It will be several months I'm sure before i get to see the gun again. Poor memory prevents details of barrel marking-will post as soon as I can get accurate details. Thanks Bill

If it has a combined "HK" stamp on the tubes forward of the flats, I think the tubes to have been drawn by Heinrich Lewis Klett or Heinrich Christophe(?) Klett, whose heirs and assigns still make tubes today, http://www.buechsenmacher.de/history_en.html . If it has the combined "HK" stamp, I'm interested to see if there are any additonal finisher's/fitter's marks. For now I think G. Wilcke to be a firearms merchant only. Kind Regards, Raimey rse

Correction: I'm now sure the "HK" combined stamp is that of Heinrich Krieghoff with the association of Sempert & Krieghoff. But on Auction Arms there's a G. Wilcke with a cracked wrist for sale: http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=9103773 . Kind Regards, Raimey rse

The Wilcke listed on Auction Arms; is that a drilling?? You dont see a rifle barrel underneath the shotgun barrels but there are three cocking indicaors. maybe a 22RF in the rib???
Anyone else notice??

Some drillings had a .22 caliber in the rib. Looks like a double until you see the muzzle.

Yeah, it is/was a schienen(rail/rib) drilling with a small calibre in the top rib for off season longarms which allowed for more ease of motion. I think the term was schonzeit drilling which were suppose to handle like doubles. But it has draw-backs such as not have the possibility of a pop-up sight, automatic or manual, in the top rib and scope mounts or cuts in the top rib might compromise the integrity of the rifle. The longarm is listed in the SxS section but he has one of 2 things: either a schienen drilling or a schienen drilling receiver with a SxS set of tubes.
Kind Regards,
Raimey rse
