We've has a couple of topics about bore mic's lately. I posted that I have one made by Skeets and that I have been happy with it. I'd also like to give them a big thank you for their service. Over time, a small O-ring that keeps the internal shaft from falling out, when the head is removed, grew fat and caused the shaft to move slowly. I called them and was told to send the mic to them and they would update the unit for me. This consists of cutting a groove for an E-clip, to do the job the O-ring did. The mic was returned yesterday in pretty quick turnaround time an at no charge for the work or the return shipping. Darn good service, IMO. Thank you, Skeets.

Jim, I found the same great service when I split the fiberglass shaft (my fault). I think I did have to pay shipping but that's all. By the way, Skeet's does great work on shotgun bores!

I would also offer a comment on their great service. Last fall I was flying back from a gun show. had the Skeets bore guage in my checked luggage, wrapped in bubble wrap. When I got home I found that the folks with TSA must have been very curious or bored. They had used a small punch and punched the plunger and balls out of the housing, not on just one head but both heads, then gathered up the balls and plungers and put them in one of their " 1 Qt clear plastic bags".. I sent it all back to Skeets in OK, No problem, no charge, they put it all back together

Yes, they are great. one of the heads on mine came apart and it was turned around quickly and at no cost. A great instrument
