I come across quite a few Wards so I guess that they were fairly prolific Gunmakers. J. Ward & Sons were at 24/27 Bath Stret, Birmingham from 1859 - 70. Then in addition to those premises they had a further works at 2, St. Mary's Row where they had both places from 1874 until leaving the Bath Street premises in 1932 working only from St. Mary's Row until they ceased in 1964. I think there is a post a short while back on a gun that they patented which they named as the 'Target' gun. Their trade mark was three concentric circles in the form of a target; you will sometimed find it stamped on the action flats. Lagopus.....
