Gentlemen, I have heard the this company makes a great gun for the money. I am debating about purchasing a model 600 royal (used). Why is it that I have been unable to find one of these for sale in a magazine (shooting sportsman, etc.)or at many of the online sites. Are these a good guns? any info would be appreciated.
Thanks! Jim

Indeed they are very good guns. Production is somewhat limited and they're not at every corner shop. John Boyd at Quality Arms in Texas imports them. He's an advertiser here, look under 'gun rack'.

Arrieta makes a fine gun.
They show up from time to time on double listings. However, IMHO, the best way to go is to order one and have it made to your own specifications. I did this with my Arrieta, and it was well worth it. It means waiting about a year to get it, but again, IMHO, it was worth it to have everything the way you want it instead of compromising.

Thanks Gentlemen, I wish I could afford a new one, but I can't. So, If I get one I will have to adjust to the gun rather then vise versa. Since I have managed to remain a single digit handicap golfer using off the shelf clubs for 30 years, I'm not that worried about adjusting. I'm also not a competitive shooter, just a hunter.
I'm hoping for more input from this board, please keep the info coming.
Thanks Jim

Jim, Don't forget, you can indeed have the stock bent to better a fit. I've had one bent and it saved selling the gun off.

Jim, state your objectives of the proposed purchase. Someone here might have a differing idea for you to consider.

Rocket, my objective is to add a beautiful, light weight high quality 12ga to my gun safe to replace a Gran Citori 12ga which is to heavy for my tastes and a Fox AE 12ga which has a shorter stock than I like and I can't afford a quality restock to bring it up to what i want. So, I'm selling both of these guns and I'm looking for a replacement. This Arrieta I saw advertised (model 600)looked like exactly what I wanted, but I know nothing about Arrietas except they are Spanish. The seller said that they sell new for around $10,000 and the selling price for this gun is less than half that. So I thought it sounded like a good deal. I'm asking you if it truly is a good deal or is the seller over exagerating the true value of the gun. I realize that no one can make an exact call on this without actually seeing and handling it but I'm looking for some informed opinions.
Thanks Jim

A few Arrieta models may go into the $10,000 range. However, most brand new guns should be anywhere from the $4,500 to $8,000. Here's a link to Wingshooting Adventures which imports Arrieta guns. Also as someone mentioned, John Boyd from Quality Arms which also imports Arrieta guns posts on this site.
