I don't have pic to look at, but perhaps the firm of Krieghoff is making them on their own now and are just experimenting with CC techniques?

Does anyone have a 28ga or 410cal? If so any input? The gun did sorta catch my eye. Other than the case colour could be toned down a bit.

I doubt that the manufacturer has changed. The colors on the E Gun have always been vivid and bright. A comparison to Ed's torch jobs is a little exaggerated.
