Has anyone out there owned, fondled or shot one of these? It's a break-open 20 ga over 30/30 that looks like a Winchester Model 94 gone wrong. What little I can find says thay were made in Phoenix in the 70s.

RR,
I saw that, thank you. I 'm trying to get an opinion from a user or shooter, not a seller. Just getting a little more cynical in my old age, mostly with good reason.
Thanks

Had one. Actually, I have one. I couldn't even sell it at a local auction. Pretty neat idea, carries nice. Regulation is terrible, couldn't adjust the sights to hit within 12 inches of either barrel. Basically, a great idea not carried out well. I wanted it for a truck gun to leave under the seat. Won't even work for that. My opinion, POS. Wanna buy one cheap? Sorry, wouldn't sell it to someone I even vaguely know.

MT, after Ricks assessment you might want to look at a Savage M24, a break open that came in 30-30 over 12ga. Not a repeater but at least you talk about it here....

Had a few Savage combos as well. Nothing too pretty, but they worked well. Only thing I didn't like about mine was that you needed Superman's thumb to crank back the hammer on one of them.

All right. I'll admit it. The reason I went for the Staggs vs. another Savage? Just a sucker for the immediate utility of double triggers.

I would hold out for wonderful but elusive Marlin 90 12ga/.30-30. Last time I have seen one of these rare gems was about 15 years ago.
