Looking to purchase this gun, but seems a little much. Its a p grade 0 frame with 30" sleeved barrels. The sleeve job looks good the seam only faintly shows. They did retain the original ribs. The wood is worn but serviceable, repaired crack in butt stock with epoxy, crack is solid. Pad added and checkering needs recutting. No color on receiver, a few buggered screws. Not a collector, but a good shooter.

He wants 2500.00!??????????

Marginal $600 gun, only if you can't find anything else. Will never increase in value.

He's dreaming, for $2500.00 you can get soooo much better of a nice Parker, in so much better shape. I have a grade 2, Model G, which is in excellent condition, which I will consider selling for a lot less than that. LOOK!

I have two of these, almost identical, and I need to sell one. I have shot this gun with over 100 Poly-Wads, "Vintage" Loads, and it is a premier, upland bird gun. If you are interested, I'll take any measurements you would like, just email me.

eightbore - i value your reply. But i was under the assumption that a 0 frame 16ga. barrels alone would bring 600.00? I know the gun won't increase in value, i thought it a 1200-1500 max gun?

George L - I don't have a habit of paying inflated prices for a gun. JMHO...your guns are twice what they would bring at auction. Good luck with them!

binko - is that a 16 ga. 0 frame? If so how much?

Thanks i do have ammuntion now to possibly hammer out a trade with the dealer.

A set of original 0 Frame Parker barrels would sell for a lot of money, but this set of sleeved barrels is no longer a set of original Parker barrels. It is not a good buy at any more than the price I indicated in the stated condition. It may have issues that make it worth even less.

Your original post didn't mention 16ga...this is a 12ga, 30" barrels, no choke in either barrel, barrels are original to the gun and bores are shiny, and perfect, no hint of pitting, but there is no frame size indicated in the normal spot, so, I guess, it's a regular size 12ga frame, and the total weight is 7 lbs, 10 oz. I think $1,500.00 is a fair price.

your thoughts?

binko - you are correct, i failed to mention it is a 16ga. However i did mention that it was a 0 frame gun. I know of no 12ga. on a 0 frame but never says never. Your gun looks nice, but i'm not intereseted in another 12ga. at the moment. Thanks!

There are no other issuses with the gun in question. Is sleeving an American double any different than a English double? Seems to be a excepted practice across the pond. A sleeved gun is no longer origianl, yes. But neither is the gun that has cut barrels and a pad added to same gun that had a skelton plate. I'm confused?

Craxon, I think the guys are trying to tell you that the reason Parkers bring the premium they do is based on collectability and this one is not collectable because of the barrels. That's just the way it works with American guns. I also think most P-grades had twist barrels, which is why this one was probably sleeved.

Now since it is a 16ga O-frame, it will be more valuable as a shooter unless the sleeving ruined the balance, but it still isn't worth $2,500 to most folks. However, the real question is what its worth to you...Geo
