The high condition field grade...or to up-grade. I mean aren't we all going green. What does the future hold for a 4000.00+ redo of a farmer's gun. Red carpet new wood, fancy scratchin' and the glam shot - folks we're in hunkering down mode. That is, unless your one of ninty getting their new James Purdey & sons gun this season. Now I haven't seen this topic here - My new Purdey O/U 20b "Sweet." So! Do you tell the boys at your local VFW Sunday meat shoot that you've just sunk five grand into your Sterlingworth?

Neither. I make three pots at a time, put it in a gallon milk jug and put it in the fridge. That way a fresh cup of coffee is only a minute twenty seconds away in the microwave. I had to wait on someone to make coffee for 40 years. I don't have to wait anymore. Now, I do it My-y-y-y-y-yy-y-y-y-y Way-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y.

Me, I would put it into a Sterlingworth. I did that ten years ago and don't regret it at all. I am going to to it again but a little more this time.
Guess I am one of those convience store guys.

No, me keeping my rather standard Philly Sterlingworth ordinary, makes me a convience store type of guy!

Lefevers and convenience stores..or better yet small town cafes...Last year I was sharptail hunting near Wibaux Montana, went into a CS to get a cuppa, carrying my "Starbucks" go mug. I was asked by the lady in charge if I was "trying to make a fashion statement" with that cup...

I've never had a good cup of coffee from Starbucks or any convenience store or fast food joint. In my opinion the only difference is that Starbucks costs more.
While staying in a luxury hotel in Seattle I tried some Torrefazione Italia Coffee, Perugia Blend. Believe it or not this is made in the USA by Starbucks, but their over the counter stuff is mere swill compared to Torrefazione's nectar of the gods.
Available from Cooking.com and some gourmet shops. Not too expensive and you can brew yourself a wonderful cup of coffee for much less than Starbucks or even 7-11 rotgut will cost. Any extension of this particular coffee experience to the cost/quality of shotguns is at the risk of the reader.
