I would like to buy some ammunition and brass for a recently acquired WJ Jeffery take down rifle. May also buy some 404 new brass as I have all of the custom dies to produce some 333 from the 404.
Just prefer to buy brass with proper head stamps.

Is there a Kynamco agent in the States?

I believe Betram in Australia make brass for the 333J.

Bertram brass works fine in my .475#2, a low pressure round. I find it to be too soft for the .333 Jeffery or my 10.75x68. Quality cartridge has made some .333 Jeffery brass, Horneber would be the best if you could find a way to get it.

Thanks guys. I did purchase bullets from Hawk bullet company. What a great company to work with.
I did send a email to Kynamco to see if they have a US distributor that might have loaded ammunition avalible.

I have contacted all of the suppliers that I could find and asked about suppling .333 cases. No luck so far.

Ghostrider,
I'm not trying to sell them, but I have some Boxer Primed RWS .404 Jeffery cases and if after you do the best you can looking for .333 cases, I will help you get going with a few of the .404 cases. If you exhaust all your other sources, pm me.

Thank you Mike. I appreciate your offer. Im hoping to find the proper head stamp cases if possible, but may need to resort to using the forming dies that came with the rifle. 5 dies and a neck reamer. Looks like a lot of work, but this may be the only option.

404 Jeffery brass is, at least, obtainable. I found Norma and RWS 404J brass quite good.

I believe you are correct, forming brass for my rifle is the only way I will be able o shoot my rifle anytime soon.

Do you have any 404J brass?

No 404 J brass yet. I need t get online and research for some later today.

As a 404 Jeffery owner, I can tell you that 404 brass is available, mostly from private sources, but you might check with Raven Rock Precision - they stock brass for 'safari' calibers. MIGHT even have some .333 Jeff brass. IMO, RWS and Norma make the best 404J brass. Hornady makes runs of 404 brass & ammo from time to time.

Some older Kynoch brass is Berdan primed, so make sure whatever you buy is reloadable.

Ghostrider,
I believe you might be able to form cases for your .333 from either 375 Ruger or Remington 375 Ultra brass. The Ruger is a little small in the head diameter, but I think it would work ok, once fireformed. The Ultra Mag cases are a little large in the head diameter, but a chamber is usually a few thousandths larger than the cartridge, it may fit. If not, it is not so much larger that the diameter of the solid part of the head can't be adjusted, and the body can be sized.

Phil...

If you contact me, I could provide you with a few 404 Jeff hulls to work with while you hunt up a supply. I just recently sold most of my excess 404j brass, but could pony up a few to help a brother in need.

Call or PM me.
