Like the title says im in need of some help with finding more info out with a manufacture of a shotgun I have. I normally wouldn't ask but literally cannot find anything online other then one other example. The name on the barrel is "The west of England gun co Taunton" The gun seems to be an 1880s example engraved with hunting scenes and of very high quality, its a high end gun, the other example wasn't engraved. Mainly want to know when the company was in business.

Boothroyd has "West of England Gunworks" listed, then states "see George Hinton, Taunton.

Under Hinton it states "5 Fore St., est. 1815, sold new and secondhand. Apprenticed in Birmingham, connected with JV Needham, etc., last mention was in 1928.
