Very well executed Corombelle style engraving!
Outstanding gun!
I'd love to get a look at the water table and barrel flats (hint, hint).
What a magnificent example of the gun maker's art. Assisted opener, full coverage medium relief engraving - just outstanding.
Very nice gun. Just the thing in the thick stuff walking in on a grouse point.
How about some background on this cat.
On 12-23-14 I asked this forum what they thought about this shotgun, did a little research on shotgunworld & Yahoo Spanish Forums. It may be a model 66-XXV, Kyrie and most of you guys will know much more than I. Apparently Grososbel made all grades of shotguns, supplied the British trade with barrels & locks, also supplied Gunmark with the Sabel line, closed in the 80s. Here was the link:

Very nice shotgun.Any Gorosabel I have seen have been lower end quality. Your gun is outstanding!
A nice gun, and unusual to see the self opening. It was (I think) an option on the UK Gunmark Sabel line, but seldom seen as I presume most original owners didn't specify it.
In the UK, distributors such as Gunmark tended to promote the sale of 'standard stock' guns (ordered for stock) rather than take custom orders. My guess is that your gun would have been a custom order.
Very nice! I have a much lower grade boxlock Gorosabel - nothing like this in workmanship. Congratulations!
Thanks fellas for the nice comments!
That is a pretty gun! :-)
