Is Bertuzzi still in the business of producing their exquisite guns? I had heard they were shutting down, but are they or have they been reincarnated by someone else?

No: The Bertuzzi brothers retired several years ago, I think due to advancing age. Great gunmakers.

Probably good timing for them; the great recession has been terrible on the boutique Italian double-gun trade. It is a shadow of what it used to be.

My understanding is that there was no one to take over. I donot know if any one ever made an offer. But the boys were tired, they closed up and chained the entrance and went home. Their best work is as good as any ones. I have a Bertuzzi best hammer gun. 12 ga single trigger and ejectors and cocks on opening. Does it work?
Well for a person that never won a bird shoot I went out and won two hand thrown.
I am sorry that they are gone.
