It is always with great pleasure that we bring you the Vintage Cup.  This year, the 11th Annual Side-by-Side Championships and Exhibition will be held at Pintail Point in  Queenstown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore on September 27-30, 2007. This venue is located just east of the Annapolis Bay Bridge, about 45 minutes from Baltimore, MD., Washington D.C. and the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.  The Chesapeake Bay area has a rich tradition in the shooting sports being considered in the past as the premier waterfowl destination in this country.

Since last year there have been some exciting new developments.  On the rifle front, Hlathini Safaris has offered a free Cape buffalo hunt in South Africa to a lucky draw of all the rifle shooters and True Life Taxidermy has offered to mount the trophy gratis - a great incentive to dust off that double rifle sitting in the gun closet or, perhaps, the incentive to acquire what had been a desire.  On the shotgun side of the Cup, the Sunday Main Event has a non-trophy category and a Vintager Chapter Challenge category (see following information).  Also, SYC Sporting Adventures has offered an Argentina bird shoot from a lucky draw of 20 gauge shooters. Finally, and maybe the most important addition to the festivities, is Thursday’s Putt and Pull for charity combining 100 clay targets and 9 holes of golf.  The Charity is Syncure, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cancer research and education foundation.  This event is limited to 25 teams of four, so get your team in early.  Also, DeCoverly Kennels will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary  of the Ryman line of English setter and the Parker Gun Collectors will be holding their annual rendez-vous during the Vintage Cup.

As usual the World Side-by-Side Championships and Exhibition provides something for everyone and a little bit more.  The Exhibition, with approximately 100 vendors, is open to the public and will be open all four days from 9 AM to 5 PM. There is a $20 entrance fee unless you are a pre-registered shooter or Vintager member.  Come join friends of old and friends of new for what promises to be the BEST VINTAGE CUP yet.
