Well just my idea is that it has short barrels and a gauge in my opinion suited for the game. But obviously any gauge is as well suited as I've taken grouse with 28, 20 and 12ga's. Perhaps the chokes could be opened a little for a better pattern for wing shooting. Easy enough done.
