Someone mentioned a Woodward action in another thread.
Here is a pic of a clone that I am scratch-buiding to add to my collection of home built Brit single shots.
Hole cut by EDM, barrel is 32-40.
Forgot to include the breech block and cocking arm in the photo.
Bottom hole is the retainer for the action plate, upper hole is for the extractor/ejector.
Most data came from Winfer's book, but he did make a serious oopsie in the book, caused me to almost abandon the action!
Some mods, such as coil spring action, spring return firing pin.
Sloping arm is for a tang mounted safety.
