Was recently perusing the "Gun Library" at Cabella's and saw they had a Sedgeley 1903 sporter marked .22 WCF. Didn't get the serial. Decent outside condition, not perfect for sure but certainly restorable if you do that. Had no interest in buying, so didn't look at the bore.

I remember posts here on these guns and thought somebody might be interested enough to investigate this one further.

I know little about these and wondered if they were commonly fired with .22 Hornet ctgs., and if they had the usual smaller diameter bores of .22 WCFs and early Hornets? And are the Sedgeley conversions single shots? Are they normally on low number receivers?

(Always ASS-U-ME'D that the answers to these questions were all "Yes" but am willing to learn better!).
