Eric , I understand now , we have a difference in terminology , The extractor head has broken of the rod or shaft .I have seen these welded but the problem comes in getting an exact alignment , if only slightly out the extractor will not fit correctly .
Silver solder will not hold and brazing may work for a limited time , again the prob;em of alignment is crucial .
You will not be able to but an "off self" extractor to fit and a blank may take 4/5 hours of work to file up , fit , chamber , rim and harden .
To be honest it is a job for a gunsmith and having done many many of these in the past I would suggest you consider the relative cost of replacing both extractors against the cost of a single .
