Was it fun getting the black chrome off? I know gunsmiths who hate with a passion any bore with chrome in them. I do know that hrome finishes come in several flavors and hardness so maybe black chrome is not a dogs breakfast to clean up.
Chromed bores don't bother Mike Orlen. I talked with him about them recently and he said they are no problem for him when it comes to lengthening forcing cones, etc. I was concerned about their peeling off, if he lengthened the cones on a couple .410s of mine. He said that would not happen, as properly chromed bores become a part of the base metal, not a "liner" that could peel off.
I'm going to be sending him my Dickinson .410, after Don spins it at the Southern.
