eddiel4 Sidelock Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 94 Likes: 1	Believe it or not I've seen this on factory rifles. In the late 50's and 60's Savage did so on some of their 22's. My first rifle was a single shot Savage 22 (Model No. 15 if I recall correctly) and had a painted fore-end tip. I think Marlin also did this as well.
