Thank You for more information Researcher ! My gun is serialed to 1905 so we know the " Pigeon Stamp " lasted for some 10 years or so ,wonder how many were actually sold . The Wood on mine has nice figure ,not over the top but much better than a Field Grade gun also has what appears to me standard #2 Checkering and is finished with a White Line Pad that is in wonderful visual condition but is as hard as a rock and according to the Older Gentleman I purchased the gun from this Pad has been on there since he can remember carrying this gun when he was a boy ,this was His GrandFathers Gun, you fellows familiar with Ithaca's ,do you suppose this would be original as it sure isn't new !
