I'm an apologist King? There is a lack of civil authority and control every time a major disaster occurs. Look at the carnage in Japan after the earthquakes. The damage in New Orleans was minimal by comparison but there was no looting or raping. WHY?

No your the apologist for the citizens of New Orleans who engaged in this type of behavior on a major scale for whatever reasons you care to ascribe to them.

New Orleans Police Chief and the Mayors response: Confiscate all civilian owned firearms. Punish the innocent by depriving them of their ability to defend themselves. Additionally the looting after the New York floods was minimal and there were no reports of widespread raping. WHY?

You need to sit down and do some serious "Soul Searching" and to begin really examining you apparent long held and IMO totally erroneous beliefs and I'd recommend you do just that before trying to defend the actions of a group of thugs like those in New Orleans and that includes their elected officials. THEN YOU'LL KNOW WHY
