Acetone will destroy the colors on the aluminum overlay...FYI.(screen printed on)..suggest you call Midwest Gun Works in MO.(MGW), I think they have replacement red-letter W old style labels....then you could peel off the old one with acetone, do your stock work and replace with a fresh new label...the outer ring, of course, is pressed steel...
