Hello All,

The Vintage Gunners Cup (September 23 � 25, 2016) is fast approaching.

Along with the main Championship event on Sunday, shotgun events (hammerless and hammer gun) will be held in all gauges from 10 through .410. Also, an American Classics competition, one and two-man flurry events, a ladies two-woman team competition, and a black powder competition will also be held.

Rifle competitions will include: Stalking rifle (both single shots and double rifle),
Black Powder/ BPE with gauge and bore guns (single and double rifle),
9.3 x 74R Classic Side x Side rifle event,
Stopping rifle (for single-shot and side-by-side rifles),
Super Stopping, Drilling, and Cape Gun.

Vintage Gunners President Meets With Hopkins Game Farm To Make Final Arrangements for Vintage Gunners Cup

Last week President Gary Lacey and Bob Nay, President Carolina Vintage Gunners, met with George and Patti Hopkins to finalize arrangements for The Vintage Gunners Cup: 19th Annual Side-by-Side Shotgun & Rifle Championship and Exhibition on September 23rd - 25th, 2016. Vendor sales and shooter interest are high with just a month to go and we are looking forward to a great shoot. George was making arrangements to set the sort of "fun" sporting targets typical of "Vintager" shoots and his staff was "prepping" the rifle range. Should be a great time for all.

This will be the 19th "gathering of the clans", so to speak, and we are all looking forward to seeing familiar faces, renewing old acquaintances, poking through the vendor tents, shooting our great doubles, and enjoying some smooth single malt whiskies. Did I forget to mention fine cigars?

Plans for 2017 are already being made for a special celebration of The Vintage Gunners Cup: 20th Annual World Side-by-Side Shotgun & Rifle Championship and Exhibition to be held September 22nd - 24th, 2017. So mark your calendars and start checking off your packing list for this year's edition. See you in September!

Vintage Gunners Cup Offers Double Rifle, Single Shot, Drilling, and Cape Gun Events on September 23rd at Hopkins Game Farm in Kennedyville, MD

The Vintage Gunners Cup: 19th Annual World Side-by-Side Shotgun & Rifle Championship and Exhibition will offer vintage rifle competitions in the above events as well as Stalking BPC/BPR Single Shot and Double Rifle events. Wow that is going to be great!

The members of the Fox, Lefever, LC Smith and Parker collectors associations will all be in PA the weekend of Sept.23-25, at the Rock Mountain Shoot .

The Fox / Parker Challenge is being shot there that weekend.

It's really too bad that the Vintagers had to choose this weekend (as they knew commitments had already been made before they set the date of this shoot) and split the SxS shooting community. Just very unfortunate egos get in the way
