Some here may recall some questions I posted about an 1883 Colt 10 ga that was badly off face in an unusual manner in that the gap was at the top of the breech face.
This gun had been worked on by a sledgehammer gunsmith sometime in it’s past in an attempt to put it back on face. Thanks to the experts here who suggested a lot of expert advice.
I finally decided to send the gun to Steve Bertram
website I mailed the gun to Steve and picked it up in person on my way back from a trip to Denver. I would just like to tell you all that Steve is an excellent double gun smith that did an super job on my Colt. This was a fairly tough job and somewhat unusual and he did a great job at a very fair price.
