OK, if you don't like the answer, give a bit more info, and give pictures. I have never seen a Parkhurst with English proofs. Lets see if you are right.

Parkhurst is one of approximately 50 Brand names used by H&D.Folsom Arms Co; of 312-14 Broadway N.Y.This name is found on Belgian Hammer guns with damascus barrels. Picture of the proof marks would confirm/deny origin. There are no English makers of the period that used the name Parkhurst.

MC, you want us to go to work for you, but you won't furnish any photos of the proofmarks and gun. Does sound pretty one sided, doesn't it ? Then you moan about the probably correct answers by guys that are trying to help anyway.

Not taking sides, just quoting Carder.. "Parkhurst, William, Located in Bristol, England, History unknown"...Carder states further: "Parkhurst, W, markings on this gun are " Belgian Laminated Steel" on the barrels. "Wm. Parkhurst" on the left lock and "Machine Made" on theb right lock. A connection of Parkhurst of England and Belgium is undetermined. Maker history unknown" MDC
