I picked this 1906 Luger up awhile back and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it. The story that came with it is that it was stored in a leaky outbuilding on a farm probably for decades.

Shame. Good condition Lugers really bring a price now. Funky design, don't mess up the magazine lips at all, it'll jam like crazy.

I have picked up a few over the years and all matching(with mags matching) original condition lugers have been better investments that just about everything but oil stocks !
Can you get the mag out?That might be worth a c note if its not destroyed.

If you really want to get into them this is the place to go:

That one needs a better story,like taken off a Nazi general in a bunker that was blown up.Maybe scratch AH in the grip and say it was on him when they torched him.

Good suggestions:
Here's more of the story. When I got this Luger it was a solid lump of metal so I decided to soak it in KROIL oil which I did for a couple of months. Eventually I was able to disassemble it and clean it out. I decided to try something after reassenbly so I jacked a primed only case into the chamber and pulled the trigger. Yes it went bang so I guess you can still call it functional. I've toyed with the idea of replacing the springs and getting the barrel relined to scare hell out of the members of my gun club!!

you might be able to buy a barrel for less that the cost of a reline.
There was an auction last year in the mid west of some collectors lugers,stored in basment after he died by his widow all rusted including 5 figure rare ones.The real shame all the holsters and mags she had in containers that where rusty and moldy so she took them to the dump.All those matching mags even with the rust missing took that collection to a small percentage of its orginal value.

As bad as that one is it could be worse,some joker liked the pimp gun look with this one;

Dave:
I doubt if it would make much of a shooter so I'll probably leave it as is. The only thing I would like to change are the grips as the originals are threatening to disintegrate. If anyone has a pair of well worn grips they can spare please contact me.
